Ironwood Nunchaku
About Ironwood
Ipe weighs between 60 and 75 pounds per cubic foot and the heartwood is olive-brown with lighter or darker streaks. Grain is straight to irregular with a low to medium luster. This is a very strong wood that is perfect for hard use including weapons kumite and demonstrations.
You choose the length of the Nunchuk and the length of the string. Proper string length should be the width of your hand plus enough to all the nunchuk to hang on either side of the palm without pinching you between the nunchuk and the string.
